AquaticsThe Jersey Amateur Swimming Association (JASA) meets approximately six times a year and has an annual general meeting in March. The main purpose is to represent the subscribed Aqua Associations and provide the necessary support for each other. With the closure of Fort Regent, the last two years have been very busy with meetings, etc in an attempt to accommodate the FR pool users with alternative pool time. At present Tigers Swimming Club train and run a development programme at Haute Vallee, Jersey Swimming Club operate from the Waterfront, Langford and Les Quennevais. The Synchro Club, Jersey Water Polo Club and Jersey Long Distance also operate from the Waterfront. Easy Swim (formerly ISTC) operate from both Haute Vallee and Langford. JASA is responsible for the Island Games which takes place every two years, the Inter Insular which is held annually and on occasions has had representatives at the Commonwealth Games. The main sponsor for JASA is Abacus to whom we are extremely grateful. |
