Gymnastics

The Gymnastics Association of Jersey (as re-formed in 2008) consists of four clubs – Jersey Gymnastics Club, Jersey Special Gymnastics Club, Regent Gymnastics Club and De Mond Gymnastics Academy. It has a total membership of 500+.

Jersey Gymnastics Club was formed in 1974 originally as Grouville Gym Club. In 2007 the Club moved to it's new 6,000.00 sq.ft. headquarters at St. John’s Recreational Centre where it’s girls and boys competitive squads now train. Recreational classes for all ages and abilities are also held at many of the Island’s primary schools as well as at St. Johns every day of the week except Sundays The Club, which has a membership of over 200, is run by an Executive Committee and 20 qualified coaches. Regent Gymnastics Club(This competitive  Club was formed by Arthur Falle  in September 1981). Today Arthur is helped by his daughters Julia and Melanie in running the club  which has over 180/200 members and operates six days a week from their base at Fort Regent. The Club follows a well established development programme both pre - school recreational and competitive gymnastics.

Regents gymnasts has had much success over the years and represented our Island of Jersey at English County,Regional ,National Competitions and  the Island Games since 1989 and for the last three years 'Jeux des Isles Games'. Has inter-club visits to France and Germany, Malta and Canada. Every other year has an International Invitational Competition always held at Fort Regent.
